SOUTHWESTERN LEAVENWORTH AND NORTHWESTERN JOHNSON COUNTIES THROUGH
545 PM CDT...
At 515 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near
Lawrence, moving northeast at 45 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph and penny size hail.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. Minor hail damage to vegetation is
possible.
Locations impacted include...
Shawnee, Lenexa, Bonner Springs, De Soto, Tonganoxie, Basehor,
Edwardsville, Kansas City, Linwood, Reno, Fairmount, and Clearview
City.
This includes Kansas Turnpike between mile markers 206 and 225.
