PLATTE COUNTIES IS CANCELLED...

The storms which prompted the warning have moved out of the warned
area. Therefore, the warning has been cancelled.

A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until 700 PM CDT for
northwestern and west central Missouri.

...A SEVERE THUNDERSTORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 400 PM CDT
FOR CLAY AND JACKSON COUNTIES...

At 345 PM CDT, severe thunderstorms were located along a line
extending from Gower to Holt to Lone Jack, moving northeast at 45
mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Public reported trees blown down in Independence and Blue
         Springs around 340pm.

IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect considerable
         tree damage. Wind damage is also likely to mobile homes,
         roofs, and outbuildings.

Locations impacted include...
Excelsior Springs, Buckner, Lee's Summit, Sugar Creek, Prathersville,
Liberty, Kearney, Unity Village, Avondale, Levasy, Randolph, Lake
Lotawana, Glenaire, Claycomo, Lone Jack, Greenwood, Pleasant Valley,
Independence, Sibley, and Birmingham.

This includes the following highways...
 Interstate 70 in Missouri between mile markers 7 and 29.
 Interstate 35 in Missouri between mile markers 9 and 32.
 Interstate 470 between mile markers 4 and 16.
 Interstate 435 between mile markers 44 and 63.
