CLAY...PLATTE AND NORTHWESTERN JACKSON COUNTIES...

At 1050 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Smithville,
moving east at 55 mph.

HAZARD...70 mph wind gusts.

SOURCE...Trained weather spotters.

IMPACT...Expect considerable tree damage. Damage is likely to mobile
         homes, roofs, and outbuildings.

Kansas City, Overland Park, Shawnee, Lenexa, Leavenworth, Leawood,
Liberty, Gladstone, Prairie Village, Lansing, Merriam, Mission,
Smithville, Kearney, Bonner Springs, De Soto, Parkville, Tonganoxie,
Platte City, and Basehor.
